<p>G M Siddeshwara, Union Minister of State for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, said that the Union government will provide three acres of land to instal a huge statue of Kempe Gowda at the International Airport in Bengaluru.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking at the Nadaprabhu Kempegowda Rashtriya Utsava, organised by the Vishwa Vokkaliigara Maha Vedike here on Saturday, he said the State government should take steps to instal the statue. <br /><br />He said he would also speak to Union Minister for Civil Aviation Gajapati Raju, in this regard.<br />Speaking on the occasion, Union Law Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said Kempe Gowda, the founder of Bangalore, was a great visionary. In those days, as the chieftain of the region, he had developed a planned city with all basic amenities.<br /></p>
