Man injured in theft bid

The injured, Govinda from Subhashnagar, was shifted to a nearby hospital, as he had fractured his leg.

According to police, Govinda and his accomplices, Srinivas and Yasin, tried to enter an apartment under construction at Singasandra around 1 am to steal construction material.

The security guard who noticed them cried for help and the cops on night duty rushed towards the building on their Cheetah motorcycle. The trio took to their heels on spotting the police. Srinivas and Yasin managed to jump over a wall and made good their escape, but Govinda fell down and fractured his leg, police said.

4-wheeler thieves

Kalasipalya police arrested Lokesh (31) from Ramanagara, Sadat Ali (31) from Chamarajpet, and Bhaskar Rao (30) from Whitefield and recovered nine high-end cars worth
Rs 46.41 lakh.

Chandra Layout police arrested Velu (32), Prabhakar Reddy (32), and Ramesh (31) and recovered gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 43 lakh. The suspects had committed 15 thefts and stolen jewellery at Basaveshwarnagar, Chandra Layout, Jnanabharathi and Rajajinagar areas.
