<p>The Bangalore division of South Western Railway celebrated the 59th Railway Week here on Friday by felicitating 168 railway personnel of Bangalore division for their work during the year 2013-14.<br /><br /></p>.<p>Speaking at the event, Anil Kumar Agarwal, Divisional Railway Manager, appreciated the efforts of the staff in increasing the earnings of the division and, called for improvement in the sector. <br /><br />‘Railway Week’ is celebrated every year in the memory of the first-ever train run in India between Mumbai and Thane, a length of 21 miles on April 16, 1853.</p>
