<p>In a petition to the High Court, Ranjitha has claimed that the video clippings telecast on March 2, 2010 were digitally manipulated, and that she was not the woman portrayed in the video, nor was Nithyananda the man featured in it.<br /><br />The actor, who was present in the court hall of Justice B S Patil contended that the respondents had crossed the borders of obscenity and that the publication/telecast affected sensitivity and emotions of the public. She has also sought directions to the Union Information and Broadcasting ministry restraining the media from telecasting obscene clippings, using any image, statements or articles of the scandal.<br /><br />Justice Patil granted an injunction against 40 news agencies and ordered notice to the State government, the Press Council of India, the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and media houses. Soon after the hearing, Ranjitha was whisked away by her relatives and followers of Nithyananda.</p>
