<p>Bengaluru: A rowdy sheeter was hacked to death while celebrating Ugadi with his friends on the outskirts of Bengaluru, the police said on Monday.</p>.<p>The deceased, Manjunath alias Nepali Manja (32), resided in Kunigal, Tumakuru, with his parents for the past year. He was a rowdy sheeter at the Hebbagodi police station in Bengaluru Rural district. He was murdered between 10.40 pm and 10.45 pm on Sunday.</p>.<p>Investigations revealed that Manjunath was called to Hebbagodi by friends for an Ugadi party. They have registered a case and launched an investigation. The motive is yet to be known.</p>.<p>“The suspects have been identified,” CK Baba, Superintendent of Police (Bengaluru Rural), told <em>DH</em>. “They will be arrested as soon as possible, and special teams have been formed to investigate the case.”</p>.<p><strong>Nicknamed 'Nepali'</strong></p>.<p>A senior officer revealed that Manjunath was nicknamed Nepali due to his complexion. “Recently, he also began sporting the latest beard style,” the officer said.</p>.<p>“He has past cases related to murder and assault. He was also booked under the Goonda Act previously and was externed during the elections. However, he was not that active recently,” the officer added. </p>
