Three killed by moving train while recording reels on outskirts of Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Three men died after being hit by a train while recording videos on their mobile phones, police officials said on Thursday.

The deceased have been identified as Rahul (18), Bikesh (20), and Lallan (24). Hailing from different parts of Uttar Pradesh, they worked as carpenters in the city.

The incident occurred on Wednesday afternoon near the railway tracks in Doddaballapura, on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The police were alerted about an accident involving a passenger train.

Investigations revealed that the trio was recording videos, possibly for social media reels when they were struck by the approaching train. All three died on the spot.

The jurisdictional railway police have registered an Unnatural Death Report (UDR) and have moved the bodies to the morgue. The victims’ families have been informed, and further investigation is underway.
