While India may be the easiest country to be vegetarian in, being vegan in a country that loves it’s milk and ghee can be a challenge. But Bengaluru has a plethora of completely-plant based and vegan friendly restaurants to choose from. Metrolife lists a few.

Justbe Resto Cafe

Hailed in reviews for it’s ambience, customers say it’s a place they can come to just hangout. With books and board games, this is a quaint cafe in Sadashiv Nagar with an attached yoga center. They have an interesting menu with Instagrammable food choices.

Mitti cafe/Enerjuvate

Located in Koramangala this cafe is staffed by differently-abled people. Their Indian vegan fare has many takers and there are Jain options available. Known formerly known only as Enerjuvate they recently included the brand Mitti Cafe.

Green Theory

This indoor/outdoor location on Residency Road is well-known for it’s green space. With multiple seating areas you can pick your vibe each day. They have an extensive menu that has dishes from around the world. They also have a small in-house boutique. The spot is also pet-friendly.

Yogi-Sthaan

With two locations in Indiranagar and Koramangala, the cafe serves both macrobiotic and vegan fare. All their food is prepared and served based on Ayurvedic principles. Tip: If you prefer a lot of salt in your food let them know, they tend to avoid it. The space is also work-friendly.

Luo Han

A unique restaurant in HSR. The Chinese-Thai spot is completely vegetarian. While they are not fully vegan they have plant-based substitutes available. While their food is well-liked, reviews warn of bad customer service and an owner that has multiple odd conditions including no kids allowed.

Crave By Leena

Located in Koramangala, this vegan bakery has garnered a lot of attention. Their extensive menu and unique cupcake flavours have been a hit with people declaring them the best they’ve tried, vegan or not. They also have gluten-free and sugar-free options.

Burma Burma

You might be surprised to know that the highest-rated restaurant on Zomato in the city is a vegan-friendly one. The Burmese restaurant has an all-vegetarian menu and lots of vegan options. While it’s on the pricier side, it’s the perfect pick for a special occasion, whether you’re vegan or not.
