<p>Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Air Customs arrested a visually impaired man at the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) for allegedly smuggling gold worth Rs 3.44 crore from Dubai, officials said on Friday.</p>.<p>The suspect’s identity has not yet been disclosed.</p>.<p>Acting on specific intelligence, customs officers intercepted the passenger upon his arrival from Dubai on March 4.</p>.<p>During the search, officers discovered 3.995 kg of gold concealed under his shirt.</p>.<p>"The gold, valued at Rs 3,44,38,796, was hidden under the suspect’s shirt,” customs officials said in a statement. “A case under relevant smuggling laws has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine if he acted alone.”</p>.Actor Ranya Rao admits to role in gold smuggling; DRI gets 3-day custody.<p>The arrest comes a day after the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) apprehended Kannada actor Ranya Rao at KIA.
