Four persons have allegedly assaulted a man who was transporting cattle for rearing at Kutta on Friday. The victim is Majeed of Kutta-Badaga Nanacchi.
Majeed is undergoing treatment at Virajpet taluk health centre. Cases have been booked against Joy, Srikanth, Roshan and Suneesh at Srimangala Police Station.
It is said that the victim had purchased six cattle from estate owner Dr Kodendera C Madappa for rearing and was transporting them in a vehicle.
The accused assaulted him after waylaying the vehicle.
Majeed in his complaint had alleged that Rs 1.5 lakh was also taken away by the accused.
