CBSE toppers vouch for persistent efforts and dedication

Bengaluru: It was persistent efforts and getting the concepts right that helped Samina Mulani, a student from Sri Kumaran’s Children’s Home, Mallasandra, who aced the CBSE Class 12 results.

She has scored a 99.2% in science and is among the toppers in the city for science stream. Mulani has scores of 99 each in physics and mathematics, 100 each in computer science and chemistry and 98 in English.

“I studied from my school notes and NCERT books. This helped me grasp concepts better,” she said. During her free time, she draws and paints. “It was just persistent efforts and focusing on concepts that helped. On weekdays, I studied for about four hours on an average and on weekends, it would depend on my schedule,” she added. She has scored a rank of 202 in JEE mains and is awaiting her JEE advanced results.

Another science topper finds his passion in sports. Masih Ahmed from DPS North has secured 97.8%. “I love playing pool, basketball and cubing. I also enjoy reading novels and watching TV shows.” On plans for his future, Masih said,”I want to pursue engineering in Computer Science branch.”

Manish Kaushik and Siddhart Gautam from NPS Koramangala also secured 97.2% along with S Kaavya from Ekya School and Madhoolika Gangaraju from NPS, CMR campus, secured 97.2%.

Rahul Prasad from DPS North secured 97.6% in commerce. “I studied for about 8-10 hours every day,” he said. He also represented his school in football at the national level and also bagged gold medals in athletics. Abhigyan Chatterjee and Ashwini Nag of DPS South secured 96.6%.

Law careers

Vibha Krishnaprasad Nadig, a student from Kumaran’s Children’s Home, who scored a 97.4% in the Humanities stream said,”It has been consistent. Listen to the class, half your work is done. Extra assignments given in class is a must. Do justice to the subjects you study,” said this topper.

She hopes to pursue law after this. Playing Volleyball, parliamentary debating, Model United Nations and reading are among her hobbies.
Shreya Ernest Isaac from DPS East secured 97.2% in Humanities while Akshita Goyal of DPS South secured 96.2%.

Anoushka Rajesh from DPS North secured 96% in the Humanities stream. She said,”I did not study at the last moment. I also had a study buddy, where we made timetables together and kept ourselves motivated,” she added. “I enjoy swimming and playing football. I also enjoy listening to music and travelling.” She wants to pursue Law in the future.
