Cheetah Yajnesh Shetty to direct Hollywood film

Martial arts trainer and film action director Cheetah Yajnesh Shetty, a native of undivided Dakshina Kannada district, will direct his first hollywood film ‘He is back’, based on the life of actor Bruce Lee.

The film is slated to be released in 2019. He told media persons that the Muhurtha of the film was held at Burj Khalifa, Dubai, UAE sometime ago. UAE-based Indian billionaire B R Shetty switched on the camera. Film producer Rockline Venkatesh clapped the camera. Hollywood cameraman Ross Clarkson, action director Keecha Kempkadee and Xu from China were also present.

The film is presented by Showtime Cinema and SBM Pvt Ltd in association with Ninjoor pictures and produced by Suresh Sharma and Suresh Babu Malge.

Shetty said that Abb Li (Abbas Alizaida) from Kabul, Afghanistan, and Alina Ilyumzhinov will play the lead roles in the film. Abb Li is known as Afghan Bruce Lee and is making his Hollywood debut through the film. The film cast also includes actors from Hollywood and China on-board.

Shetty said that the story and screenplay are written by David White, director of photography is Ross W Clarkson and the sound designing is by Resul Pookutty. The film shooting begins in the first week of February 2019 and is expected to be completed by April-May 2019. The film will be released worldwide by the end of the next year. The budget of the film is estimated at Rs 100 crore, he added.
