In fact, it perhaps, has the largest representation in India.<br /><br />One of the primary activities of the institute relating to its work on tribal languages is the work on a package comprising a phonetic reader, grammar, dictionary, folklore and, where necessary, adult literacy primers. The institute had undertaken such work in 25 or so tribal languages of north east India. The development of tribal languages in India involves many issues of policy, implementation and academic contribution, the release added.</p>
