CPM activist and advocate Nithin Kuthar has committed an act of treason by posting “CRPF personnel who were killed in Fidayeen attack at Pulwama on the basis of their caste” on Facebook, alleged Rajesh Desodi, a resident of Munnur.

Rajesh has lodged a complaint in this regard to City Police Commissioner.

Rajesh urged the Commissioner to initiate action against Nithin. In the complaint, Rajesh has stated, “The country is in tears after having lost its soldiers. Amid all this Nithin’s post was provocative in nature.”

In his post, Nithin had claimed that among the deceased 13 belonged to Scheduled Castes, 14-Scheduled Tribes, 14-Other Backward Castes and zero from Brahmin community.

The complaint stated, “There is no caste restrictions to join Indian Army. The opponents do not look at the caste of the soldiers. It is our duty to honor the soldiers without giving the colour of caste. Dividing the soldiers on the basis of caste and thereby weakening the army is an anti-national activity.”
