<p>Bengaluru: The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) searched six locations across Karnataka in connection with its money-laundering probe related to the land purchase scheme involving Dr BR Ambedkar Development Corporation Limited (ADCL). </p>.<p>The searches — carried out by the ED's Bengaluru zonal office on August 7 — covered the ADCL head office in Bengaluru, its Vijayapura district office, and the residences of accused/suspected persons. </p>.<p>The ED claims to have unearthed "incriminating" documents and details of properties and modus operandi adopted by the accused during the searches. </p>.After Prakash Raj and Vijay Deverakonda, Rana Daggubati questioned by ED in betting app case.<p>The ADCL, a state government agency, runs economic development programmes for members of the Scheduled Castes. </p>.<p>The central agency launched money-laundering investigations related to ADCL on the basis of FIRs registered by the Karnataka police. The proceeds of crime generated in the case run into more Rs 23 crore, it said. </p>.<p>Under the ADCL land purchase scheme, land was to be bought from landowners and allotted to women from landless agricultural labourer families belonging to the Scheduled Castes. </p>.<p>However, in the Vijayapura district, neither was the land bought from landowners nor was it allotted to the beneficiaries. The ADCL's district officials allegedly neglected their official duties and siphoned of crores of rupees to fake bank accounts by creating fake sale deeds, resulting in heavy losses to the exchequer. </p>
