<p>Bengaluru: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned ex-Congress MP D K Suresh to appear before its investigators in connection with the probe against conwoman Aishwarya Gowda.</p><p>The ED served the notice to Suresh to appear before the agency on June 19. Suresh however said that he had other prescheduled events.</p><p>"I've been asked to appear on June 19. Since I have pre-scheduled events on that day, I've informed the ED that I'll come on June 23. I have no transactions with this person (Aishwarya). I attended two events organised by her since she was from my constituency. I have no other ties with her. I've already lodged a police complaint stating that my name was being misused." Suresh wasn't home when ED personnel came with the notice this morning. I asked Suresh's assistant to receive the notice instead of it being pasted on the wall. We will honour the notice and cooperate with ED. Anyway, we're no strangers to the ED," Shivakumar said.</p><p>In April 2025, the ED arrested Aishwarya, named as the suspect in at least three chases where she was accused of cheating people of over Rs 9 crore. The cases came to light in December 2024, when Aishwarya allegedly borrowed gold from people and failed to return it.</p><p>Suresh also filed a complaint with the Bengaluru police, accusing Aishwarya of posing as his sister to cheat people. The victims had told the police that Aishwarya had told them she was Suresh’s sibling.</p><p>Aishwarya’s arrest followed raids by the ED at her houses in Goraguntepalya and Kirugavalu village in Mandya in April. The ED also raided the Bengaluru residence of Congress MLA Vinay Kulkarni in Sanjaynagar. During the investigation of cases related to Aishwarya, Kulkarni’s name reportedly had popped up, but no concrete evidence was found against him.</p><p>The ED also alleged that Aishwarya was close to several “high-profile” politicians and that she cheated people by promising them high returns on gold, cash and bank deposits.</p>
