NITK school: Golden jubilee programme from today

The golden jubilee celebrations of NITK English Medium School will be held from December 5 to 8, on the NITK premises in Surathkal.

A press release said that as a part of the celebrations, a national-level conference for CBSE school principals and teachers on the theme ‘Strategic Planning Towards Holistic Education’ will be held on December 5 and 6.

Nitte University Chancellor N Vinaya Hegde will inaugurate the conference while NITK Board of Governors chairperson Prof Balaveera Reddy will be the guest of honour. CBSE Regional Officer K Srinivasan will be the chief guest and NITK director Prof Umamaheshwar Rao will preside.

Inter-school science model building competition for the schools of DK and Udupi will be held on December 6 and 7. The Parents’ Day will be held on December 7 and will have sports competitions like tug of war, throwball and fun games and cultural competitions like rangoli drawing, painting, flower arrangement.

A global alumni meet will be organised on December 8.
