Hustle and bustle for bags of fertilizers

Excited farmers throng the Hopcoms yard in Chikkaballapur city

On learning that bags of fertilizers were being given, farmers rushed to the yard and started demanding that they be given the bags.

Due to shortage of bags in relation to the number of farmers who landed at the yard, the manager of the Hopcoms yard had to struggle to maintain order.
He also faced difficulties pacifying the farmers and ensuring appropriate distribution of the bags of fertilizers.

After the rain

The farmers attributed their demand to the rain in the district the last few days. “The condition is ideal to carry out agricultural activity. We therefore desperately need fertilizers and have come to the Hopcoms yard to get them,” they explained and said it would be convenient if they were given enough bags of fertilizers.

The rate of fertilizers in private yards has risen beyond the means of the farmers, who also called on the government to take the initiative to distribute bags of fertilizers justly.
“Then, we can undertake farming activities even during times of drought,” they added.

Distributing about 70 bags, the Hopcoms manager said more bags will be distributed on Saturday, which would alleviate the problem of the farmers to a great extent.
