<p>All meetings scheduled with Chief Minister<a href="https://www.deccanherald.com/tags/siddaramaiah"> Siddaramaiah</a> on Monday were cancelled after doctors advised him to take rest for a day.</p>.<p>The chief minister, who has been experiencing knee pain for some time, consulted doctors who examined the knee which had undergone surgery for a ligament injury. The doctors said the pain was caused by pressure on the knee and confirmed there were no other health issues, sources told <em>DH.</em></p>.<p>The CM, however, will go ahead with his planned trip to Delhi on Wednesday morning with a packed agenda.</p>.Karnataka govt constitutes new disaster management authority under BBMP.<p>He is scheduled to meet Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at 4.30 pm that day.</p>.<p>“This meeting is regarding the plan to organise an air show during Mysuru Dasara,” sources said.</p>.<p>Last year too, efforts were made to include air show in the Dasara festivities, but the plan didn’t materialise. The aerial displays were limited to helicopter rides and paragliding. </p>.<p>According to sources, the discussion will likely cover logistical and security planning for the air show, along with seeking participation by the Indian Air Force.</p>.<p>Siddaramaiah is also expected to meet senior Congress leaders including AICC general secretary K C Venugopal, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi. These meetings will focus on the upcoming convention of backward classes in Bengaluru on July 15 and overall party strategy.</p>.<p>He is also likely to push for approval of four pending nominations to the Legislative Council.</p>.<p>Sources said he may also try to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. </p>.<p>Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar is also travelling to the national capital, according to sources in the know. </p>
