<p>Belagavi: A maternal death has been reported at the Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences District Hospital, in Karnataka, on Tuesday. </p><p>A woman identified as Anjali Ningani Patil (32), a resident of Nilji village in Belagavi taluk, had been admitted to deliver her child at the facility on January 27. Doctors had earlier given January 22 as the date for delivery, but as there was no labour pain as she was brought to the hospital and she delivered the girl through a caesarian section. She died late in the night.</p><p>Family members alleged negligence for her death. Her body has been shifted to the mortuary for postmortem.</p>
