MP Pratap Simha has requested Labour Minister Shivaram Hebbar to sanction a 100-bedded state-of-the-art ESI Hospital to the district, for the benefit of workers.
Submitting a memorandum to the minister, the MP said that there are no ESI Hospitals in the district currently. Therefore, an ESI Hospital should be set up near Kushalnagar.
After submitting the memorandum, the MP said that the minister has responded to the request positively.
It has been mentioned in the memorandum that there are around 4,500 workers in the 120 micro, medium and large industries under KIADB limits in Kushalnagar taluk. More industries are expected to come up in the region in the future. Therefore, there is a need to have an ESI Hospital to provide treatment for workers.
