MUDA case: Bengaluru special court accepts B report giving clean chit to Siddaramaiah, B M Parvathi and others

Bengaluru: In a relief to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and three others, including his wife BM Parvathi, the special court for cases involving MPs/MLAs has accepted the B report, giving them a clean chit in the MUDA alternative sites allotment case.

The Lokayukta police had submitted the B report in the complaint alleging illegalities and corruption in Mysore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) allotting 14 alternative sites worth Rs 56 crore to Parvathi.

Special court judge Santosh Gajanan Bhat on January 28, 2026, rejected the protest petition against the B report filed by complainant Snehamayi Krishna, a Mysuru based social activist.

“The B Report filed by the Investigating Officer against accused Siddaramaiah (accused number-1), BM Parvathi (accused number-2), Mallikarjuna Swamy (accused number-3) and J Devaraj (accused number-4), is hereby accepted. Needless to mention the further investigation being conducted by the Investigating Officer against other accused persons shall continue and he shall file the Final Report on completion of investigation,” the special court judge said in his order.

Based on Snehamayi Krishna’s complaint and representation, the Karnataka Governor on August 19, 2024, had granted approval under section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption (PC) Act for an investigation against Siddaramaiah. On September 24, 2024, the Karnataka high court had upheld the approval granted by the Governor. Pursuant to this, the Lokayukta police had conducted the investigation and submitted a B (closure) report, giving clean chit to Siddaramaiah and three others.
