Original Shiroor Mutt handed over to Sode Mutt

The original mutt of Shiroor at Hiriyadka in the district was handed over to Dwandwa Sode Mutt by the police on Monday.

SP Laxman Nimbargi said that the probe into the death of seer Lakshmivara Theertha Swami will continue. In the interest of the public, the mutt has been handed over to the Sode Mutt, he added.

After the death of the Shiroor seer, the mutt in Udupi and the original Shiroor mutt at Hiriyadka were in the custody of the police. The key of seer’s room, store room, kitchen and mutt office were handed over to the mutt in charge personnel.
