New list of housing beneficiaries released

The district administration has released the first set of the revised list of natural calamity victims who are to be recompensed with houses by the government.

A total of four lists have been released, considering the various types of beneficiaries.

The list of beneficiaries has been drawn on the basis of a report submitted by the team of officers assigned by the deputy commissioner. The lists have been put up on the notice board of the deputy commissioner’s office in Madikeri and also on Kodagu district administration website kodagu.nic.in

“The officers’ team has been conducting the survey of the houses that are in a dilapidated condition. Such people will also be compensated and the list of the beneficiaries will be released soon after the completion of the survey,” DC Annies Kanmani Joy has stated in a press release.

Of the four lists, the first list contains names of people who have submitted complete documents with their applications. The second list contains names of beneficiaries who have not submitted relevant documents and those who have been left out in the earlier phase. The third list contains names of people who sought grants from the government to build houses on their own sites and have submitted documents. The fourth list contains the names of beneficiaries who have sought grants from the government, but have failed to submit proper documents.
