Moreover CBI, which was investigating into a bank fraud case in which Setty was allegedly involved, had submitted a memo before the High Court seeking permission to file a charge sheet on the case.
When contacted Setty said he was on his way to Tirupati and he would respond to the rumours on Wednesday after he returned from Tirupati. It can be recalled that when he resigned as minister, he had kept the resignation letter at the feet of Lord Venkateshwara and then handed it over to the chief minister.
In June this year he submitted his resignation as minister to accommodate V Somanna, who joined the BJP after resigning as Congress MLA.
