Showers bring relief to people in Napoklu

There was a good spell of rain in Napoklu in Kodagu on Sunday. Showers were also witnessed in Bethu, Hodduru and Balamuri villages.

The rain which began at 2 pm on Sunday, persisted for about 15 minutes. The sudden showers brought relief to the people from the scorching sun. About 12 mm of rainfall was recorded.

The first rain in the year was witnessed in the first week of February. Coffee growers were happy as they were in urgent need of water for their plantations.
