Bilavendran, an aide of forest brigand Veerappan, passed away in a hospital in Mysuru on Wednesday.
A resident of Martalli village near Male Mahadeshwara Hill, he was serving his jail term from the last 25 years.
He was admitted to K R Hospital as he developed health issues ten days back.
