<p>Thiruvananthapuram: A consumer accidentally paid Rs 2,123 to a textile shop in Thrissur, Kerala. However, the shopkeepers refused to give back the excess amount. After lodging a complaint, consumer dispute redressal commission ordered the shop to pay compensation of Rs 10,000.</p><p>Shyni K C of Pazhayannur in Thrissur approached the commission after a textile shop in Thrissur refused to return the excess payment despite her repeated request. </p><p>The bill amount of Rs 2,123 was paid twice via an UPI payment app under the impression that the initial payment was unsuccessful.
