<p>Thiruvananthapuram: The participation of vice chancellors of various universities in Kerala at an education conference organised by an RSS linked outfit in Kochi on Sunday has not gone down well with the CPM government in Kerala.</p><p>State education minister V Sivankutty said on Sunday that the conference was part of attempts by some organisations to distort education policies according to their interests. It was improper for vice chancellors of various universities in Kerala to attend the event being attended by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.</p>.Agitating ASHA workers in Kerala welcome Centre's incentive hike.<p>Vice chancellors of Kerala University Mohanan Kunnummal, Calicut university P Raveendran and Kannur university K K Saju were among those who participated. Kerala Governor Rajendra Arlekar also participated at the seminar 'Gyan Sabha', organised by the RSS-linked Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas.</p><p>Even as the Kerala government and the governor were in a friction recently over display of picture of 'Bharatamaba' at the Raj Bhavan as well as appointment of vice chancellors, recently there were signs of patch up after Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan called on the Governor at the Raj Bhavan. The strong protest by pro-CPM outfits against the Kerala University vice chancellor over the 'Bharatamba' picture issue also died down in the due course.</p><p>Meanwhile, the Governor said at the conference that the National Education Policy 2020 was the first serious attempt to decolonise the country's education system.</p>
