A day the Supreme Court provided him relief in a 30-year-old case of road rage, former cricket and Punjab Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu on Wednesday called upon Congress president Rahul Gandhi in what he said was a meeting between a "loyal soldier and his leader".
Rahul had specially congratulated Sidhu soon after Supreme Court judgement came out.
During his meeting with the Congress president, Sidhu thanked the party for reposing faith in him and reiterated his resolve to "dedicate his entire life to the Congress party".
"I would perform with full devotion any mission assigned by the party. I am now devoted 24x7 to the party," he said.
