<p>New Delhi: IT company Cognizant on Thursday outlined plans for a 14-acre 'immersive learning centre' at its Siruseri campus in Chennai, that would be equipped to train one lakh individuals annually in advanced AI technologies.</p>.<p>The proposed centre, located within the company's 50-acre Siruseri campus, is expected to be completed in three years.</p>.<p>"Designed to train 100,000 individuals annually, the centre will feature 14,000 seats, smart classrooms, incubator hubs, client experience spaces, design thinking centres, along with residential accommodations and wellbeing facilities," according to a release.</p>.<p>In a hub-and-spoke model, this centre will also support other learning centres being developed in a phased manner across campuses in Hyderabad, Pune, Kochi, and Coimbatore.</p>.Deaths of goats due to dog bites echoes in Tamil Nadu Assembly; compensation announced.<p>The Siruseri learning centre will advance Cognizant's learning and development ecosystem, integrating infrastructure with immersive learning, advanced AI-skilling, executive leadership and consulting programmes, the company said.</p>.<p>As the primary training hub for Cognizant's school graduate programme in India, it will also host intensive boot camps for fresh graduates.</p>.<p>Additionally, the centre will serve as a collaborative space for technology partners, academia, clients and communities to participate in innovative research and learning programmes, and contribute to industry advancements.</p>.<p>"The capabilities to excel in an AI-driven world will differentiate the leaders from the followers," Ravi Kumar S, CEO of Cognizant, said.</p>.<p>Since 2024, Cognizant has established new delivery centres in Bhubaneswar and Indore, with plans to open a techfin centre in GIFT City, Gujarat later this year.</p>.<p>Additionally, the company has transformed nearly one million square feet at its Hyderabad delivery centre and modernised its 3-acre facility in Kolkata.</p>.<p>"These centres have been designed to support the future of work, promote agility, collaboration and innovation, while providing best-in-class employee experience. Cognizant continues to partner with leading global organisations, transforming business processes, boosting productivity, and creating new value through AI and GenAI-powered solutions," the release said.</p>.<p>The company has sharpened its focus on GenAI skills.</p>.<p>"In 2024, Cognizant empowered 277,000 associates through its learning ecosystem, with 168,000 completing a GenAI course. To date, 220,000 associates have been upskilled in GenAI," the release said.</p>.<p>Cognizant has a global workforce of 336,800 with over 70 per cent based in India.
