<p>Prompt action by the cops saved the life of a woman, who had 'entombed' herself at her village in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur district, to 'meet' Lord Shiva.</p>.<p>According to reports, the woman, a resident of Marha village in the district, had taken 'samadhi' (entombment) on Wednesday in the presence of scores of residents of the village. </p>.<p>The woman told her family members and the residents of the village that she had seen Lord Shiva in her dream and now she wanted to take 'samadhi' so that she could meet him.</p>.<p>Instead of trying to reason with her, the family members and some local residents started digging a pit to fulfil her wish. The woman later entered the pit after which they covered with mud. </p>.<p>While many among the villagers started singing 'bhajans' (religious songs) and also offered flowers to the 'samadhi', someone informed the cops.</p>.<p>A police team, which reached the village, managed to bring her out of the 'samadhi' and rushed her to the hospital. The doctors said that she was out of danger.</p>.<p>Police said that they were investigating the matter and would take stern action against those who might have aided her.</p>.<p>Barely a few days ago a Russian woman, who 'wanted' to meet Lord Krishna, had allegedly jumped to death from the sixth floor of a building at Vrindavan town in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura district. A friend of Russian woman — Tatyana, who also lived with her — told the cops that she (Tatyana) wanted to meet Lord Krishna. </p>
