Veteran social activist and former Mumbai sheriff Nana Chudasama passed away on Sunday. He was 86.

A veteran of social and public causes, Chudasama, was the founder-patron of various charitable and environment-related initiatives in Mumbai, including the worldwide NGOs Giants International and I Love Mumbai.

Chudasama was popularly for the famous banner on the Marine Drive of Mumbai that carried s messages based on national and international development - often laced with humour.

A few years ago, the contents of this banner were later compiled in a book titled 'History On A Banner'.

Chudasama was father of Mumbai BJP spokesperson and fashion designer Shaina NC.
His father, late Mansinh Chudasama, was police commissioner of Mumbai.
