As the Test series between India and England entered its final day on Monday, Shashi Tharoor took to social media to join the voices of fans as he misses Virat Kohli, who had recently announced Test retirement.

Team India needs to win this match to level the series 2-2.

In his post, he wrote, "I’ve been missing Virat Kohli a few times during this series, but never as much as in this Test match."

He further stated, "His grit and intensity, his inspirational presence in the field, not to mention his abundant batting skills, might have led to a different outcome. Is it too late to call him out of retirement? Virat, the nation needs you!"

The cricketer had announced his retirement from the format through an emotional Instagram post in May.

For the ongoing match, the England team need 35 runs to win, while the men in blue are just three wickets away from victory.
