West Bengal Assembly Elections highlights: Mamata slams Amit Shah, says 'outsiders can't rule Bengal'
Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed a press conference where he claimed that BJP will win more than 200 seats in West Bengal. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee alleged Prime Minister Narendra Modi's speech at the Matua temple at Orakandi in Bangladesh was with an eye on elections in West Bengal. In West Bengal, nearly 74 lakh electorate across 10,288 polling stations had registered to exercise their franchise in the first phase of polling. Counting of votes will take place on May 2. Controversy erupted on Saturday over an audio clip of a phone call where Mamata is purportedly heard urging a BJP leader from Nandigram to rejoin the TMC. Stay tuned for more updates.
