Banyan Tree presents the eighteenth edition of its all India Sufi and mystic music festival, Ruhaniyat, on December 15, 6.15 pm onwards, at Jayamahal Palace Hotel, Jayamahal Road. Sindhi Saraiki, Nandesh Umap and group are a few among the many performers.

Gastric bloat, known medically as gastric dilatation-volvulus (GDV), is a problem that afflicts bigger pet dogs, and can be fatal.

Early detection is important because 50 per cent of dogs with the condition die if treatment is delayed. Veterinarians Metrolife spoke to said they see 18 to 20 cases in a year. Read more

A specialised cab service to help the disabled get around the city is becoming popular, while BMTC and KSRTC are also doing their bit by providing free passes for the visually impaired.

Update- Three people were killed and five were injured after iron racks collapsed onto staff at Holisol Warehouse Logistic Pvt. Ltd. in Seegehalli, Whitefield, on Thursday.
