Cool drinks you can make at home

Metrolife put together a few easy recipes of drinks that you can make at home.

Cold coffee

Ingredients:
Cold milk (preferably creamy) - 3 cups; Ice cubes - 4 or 6; Instant coffee powder - 1 1/2 tsp, Sugar - 5 tbsp.

Method: Blend a mix of cold milk and instant coffee powder. Add ice cubes and sugar till the cold coffee becomes frothy.

Mocha

Ingredients: Hot coffee - 1 cup, Sugar - 1 tbsp, Cocoa powder - 1 1/2 tbsp, Milk - 1 cup.

Method: Add coffee, milk, sugar and cocoa powder into a bowl and stir for a minute or two.

Chocolate-Banana-Oreo Milkshake

Ingredients: Bananas - 2, Oreos - 4 pieces, Sweetened chocolate sauce - 80 ml, Cold milk - 3 cups.

Method: Remove the banana peel and break them into two parts each. Break the Oreo biscuits with your hands. Blend the banana pieces, Oreo and 2 tbsp of chocolate sauce for a few minutes till they become thick. Pour this paste into a bowl and add the milk to this. Keep pouring the rest of the chocolate sauce slowly and stir hard at the same time till it is mixed.

To make this into a desert, pour the milkshake into a shallow, wide, box and freeze it for six hours. Then open the box, cut a piece carefully with a knife and present it by pouring hot chocolate over it. Serves 7 people.

Strawberry Milkshake

Ingredients: Strawberries - 8, Cold milk (preferably creamy) - 2 cups, sugar - 2 tbsp, Ice - 4 cubes.

Method: Wash the strawberries and remove their stems. Cut them in halves and blend them with the chilled milk. Add sugar and ice cubes and blend again for a couple of minutes.

Tomato Cucumber Juice

Ingredients: Tomatoes - 4, Cucumber - 1, Ice - 3 cubes, Salt - 1 pinch, Pepper - 1 pinch.

Method: Wash and cut the tomatoes and cucumber into medium-sized pieces. Blend them with the ice for a couple of minutes. Add the salt and pepper and stir.
