Industrialist Anand Mahindra has reacted sharply to the incidents of rape and said he would volunteer to execute the convicts.
"The job of executioner is not an aspirational job. But for the execution of brutal rapists & murderers of young girls, I would volunteer unhesitatingly. I work hard to stay calm, but my blood boils over to see this happen in our country," tweeted Anand, the chairman of Mahindra Group.
In his post, he has tagged a story of a brutal rape of a girl in Surat who was found with 86 injury marks.
The tweet comes in the wake of rape incidents in Kathua, Unnao, Surat, Patna and Balasore among others.
In response to Anand's post, celebrity photographer Atul Kasbekar tweeted: "You’ll have to get in line Anand".
