West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday issued a direct challenge to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.

She urged Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers to ensure that the party get all the 42 seats of Bengal in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and ensure the ouster of Modi and BJP president Amit Shah.

She also asked the Prime Minister what whether he wants to indulge in politics over the death of CRPF jawans in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir.

The Chief Minister was addressing the gathering at TMC’s core committee meeting in Kolkata.

“We must get 42 out of 42 seats in Bengal...We must ensure the ouster of Modi and Amit Shah in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections,” said Banerjee.

She also said that of TMC can oust the CPI(M) after it ruled Bengal for 34 years then it can also oust BJP which has been in power for just five years.

Asking the Prime Minister whether he wanted to indulge in politics over the death of CRPF jawans in the terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama Banerjee said “electoral politics cannot be done with the blood of our jawans.”

“You (Modi) knew the incident will take place. You had information. The government had intelligence inputs. Then why the CRPF jawans were not airlifted? Why the area were not sanitized? Is it because you wanted to indulge in politics? Is it because the elections are coming?” said Banerjee.
