On the completion of two years since the decision of demonetisation was announced, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the BJP government at the Centre of cheating the nation and described demonetisation as a scam. She made the comments in a tweet on Thursday.
''#DarkDay The government cheated out nation with this big demonetisation scam. It ruined the economy and the lives of millions,” tweeted Banerjee.
She also said that those who were behind executing demonetisation will be punished by people.
“People will punish those who did this,” tweeted the Chief Minister.
