Angry over denial of an election ticket, Congress MLA in Chhattisgarh Shankar Dhruva has raised voice for a revolt but is yet to announce his final decision.

Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee announced its list of 12 candidates in which seven sitting MLAs were given party ticket but the lone MLA who was denied a ticket was Shankar, who represents Kanker.

Congress has eight MLAs from Bastar.

Instead of Shankar, former bureaucrat Sishupal Sori has been given the ticket.

"Denial of party ticket to me is incomprehensible, I can take any step any time," Shankar said.

According to sources, with the election round the corner, Shankar might shift alliance to other parties.

The said that he is holding meetings with this party workers and is planning his next move.

"Why my ticket was denied, is beyond my understanding. The observer having arrived here and whatever reports were prepared, my name was on top. Sishupal Sori name figured in the last at the observers' list. I was totally fitted in Congress president Rahul Gandhi's fixed standard for a candidate. I did not have any instance of allegations or cases," Shankar said.

"I am holding meetings with my workers and would plan a new strategy based on their inputs. The future course will also be decided after discussion with them. Whatever the workers will say, I will do accordingly as they want me to be in election fray," he said.

when questioned if he will join another party, he said that anything can happen but before taking any step it would be natural to consider the sentiments of workers.
