At least six people were killed and another eleven injured in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh's Anantapur district on Friday morning.
The accident occurred near Sattarupalli village of Penukonda block when a mini truck from Lakkasanipalli and L Timmapuram villages collided with another van carrying Bananas.
Survivors recount that the truck's driver while trying to save a motorcyclist, who was coming from the opposite direction, lost control of the mini truck.
It then hit the van, which too was coming from the opposite direction, and skidded and turned turtle killing six immediately.
Locals helped the injured and rushed them to a hospital.
All the people in the mini truck were on their way to attend the wedding of a son of a YSRC leader.
