One gets to see digital communication in all form, either in the form of digital cameras, digital channels, digital set top boxes, digital theatre projection, digital surgeries, digital signature, digital tutors, digital banking, etc… <br /><br /></p>.<p>One wonders the reason behind this fascination for digital equipments or services. We have become so obsessed with technology that the first thing we do after getting up in the morning is to search for our “Smart Phone.” <br /><br />It’s indeed surprising and yet it is the stark reality of the society we are living in. In complete contrast to this, the first thing our elders used to do after waking up in the morning was to pray to the almighty with folded hands and then follow their daily routine. But what do we do? <br /><br />Many of us spend atleast 20 minutes on an average with our gizmos after getting up in morning. Some of us even sit in front of the computers till late afternoon and then go for a bath. Isn’t it unnatural? Indeed it is. Have we ever thought how much time we spend every day with the our fellow beings, when compared to machines? The answer would be astonishing, but it’s again a reality that can’t be denied.<br /><br />So why have we become so dependent on these scientific digital gadgets? Were they available a 100 years back? People used to live happily then, weren’t they? It is said that science should be utilised to serve humanity and improve our lives, for a better future. But the results of advanced technology is shocking, with a mass slavery to modern scientific tools. Today we see a family living under one roof communicating through wi-fi equipments with each other. <br /><br />Everything is virtual rather then real. All relationships are standing on digital platforms and are existing only in the e-world. Feelings are shared via social media platforms, as against personal interaction. Marriages are fixed through matrimonial sites and divorces are also filed through these very sites. Prayers are offered by transferring money through e-Way and e-Blessings are sent in return via e-mail. Imagine! In future we will get to see digital parents, digital cousins, digital love and so on. Is this the kind of progress that we are looking for? <br /><br />The answer is for you to find, because almighty never wanted his creation to go through all these trials and tribulations, it is we who have created the virtual web of unreality around us in which we are trapped. Remember! Technology was made to save our time and not make us its slaves. It’s better to save and not be a slave by over dependence as addiction.</p>
