The Board of Control for Cricket in India has agreed to swap the first two T20 international matches between India and Australia, the Karnataka State Cricket Association has said.

The first match was to be held here on February 24 and the second in Visakhapatnam on the 27th. The request for the swap was made after the Bangalore City Police expressed their inability to provide ample security for the match.

The Aero India 2019 air show is being held in the City from February 20 to 24 and a large chunk of police personnel will be busy with that.

“The BCCI has agreed for the change in the dates. The Andhra Cricket Association also has agreed to swap the match. Hence, Bengaluru will be hosting the match on February 27 instead of 24,” KSCA Spokesperson Vinay Mruthyunjaya said in a statement.

The BCCI is yet to make this official.

Apart from the two T20s, the two sides will battle it out in one-day internationals in Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ranchi, Chandigarh and Delhi.
