Mubarak spurs Shimoga

Mubarak S chipped in with bat and ball as Shimoga Zone cantered to an eight-wicket victory over Tumkur Zone in the KSCA inter-mofussil under-19 tournament.

Tumkur batted first and posted an ordinary 163 for nine in their 50 overs. Mubarak topped the wicket charts, returning figures of four for 24, while Shreyas Nadig claimed two for 15.

In response, Shimoga easily overhauled the target, losing just the two wickets in the process. Niksheap K (55 not out) and Sourabh SR (50 not out) struck unbeaten fifties as Mubarak struck 30.
