721 Sahyadri students get graduation certificates

As many as 700 students of BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and 21 MTech students of Sahyadri College and Engineering and Management received their graduation certificates on Saturday at the ninth graduation ceremony.

Binoy K, campus manager – Wipro, addressing the gathering at the graduation day advised the students, “Be a good child to your parents, a good student to your teachers and finally good citizens, thus bringing laurels not only to your college but also to the society and to the world as a whole.”

He spoke about the importance of teachers who blessed us with knowledge and also spoke about the importance of parents. “Never overtake on your journey of life, overtaking leads one to wrong destinations,” he advised.

“There would be many people who will walk into your lives, will touch and influence you and then move on, making way for more people to walk in and influence your lives,” Binoy told the students.

Dr Manjunath Bhandary, chairperson of the Bhandary Foundation, recalled the time when the parents had come to admit their children to the College. From then on, there was no looking back, he added.

“On this crucial day, this batch has helped set a benchmark for the College,” said Bhandary and made a proud mention of the VTU toppers / gold medalists / rank holders who had brought laurels to this College.
