The BJP on Friday finalised candidates for three Lok Sabha seats in Karnataka and fielded Raja Amresh Nayak who joined BJP from Congress from Raichur.

Amresh Nayak, earlier served as a member of Karnataka Legislative Assembly, recently joined BJP from Congress.

Anna Saheb Jolle fielded from Chikkodi Lok Sabha seat. He is the husband of Nippani BJP MLA Shashikala Jolle. Anna Saheb Jolle unsuccessfully contested from Chikkodi-Sadalaga Assembly segment from BJP in 2018 Assembly elections.

The party renominated sitting MP Sanganna Karadi from Koppal seat.

The BJP kept his name on hold with the speculation that former CM Siddaramaiah may contest from this seat. However, the Congress has fielded Rajshekhar Hitnal. The saffron party had a plan to field surprise candidate if Congress fielded Siddaramaiah.
