Gadkari opens Kerala Raksha Yatre in Uppala

In his inaugural address of BJP Kerala Raksha Yatre in Uppala here on Sunday, Gadkari slammed the Central Government and Kerala State Government for supporting terrorism in the name of secularism. The people must expel these governments, he said. Criticising the Central government’s policies against the poor, he said the government can eliminate poverty and develop the nation by using the money deposited by Quattrocchi in the Swiss Bank.

“Kerala has lagged far behind in industrial and agricultural developments. None can compete with the pro-state works initiated and completed by BJP CM Narendra Modi,” he said.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP leader C K Padmanabhan called Kerala as a ‘State of consumers’. The production industry in Kerala has seen a setback, he claimed. Dormer Central Railway Minister O Rajagopalan said the Kerala state has dropped from 7th position to 17th in terms of development.

Earlier, speaking to media persons in Bajpe airport, on his way to Uppala, BJP National President Nitin Gadkari came down heavily on the economic policies of UPA government by claiming that the wrong economic policies of the government are costing dearer to the general public.

Stating that the inflation rate has reached 18.3 per cent and the petrol rates have been hiked enormously making the life a common man harder, he said the Union government has failed to control the deteriorating situation. “If the government does not respond in favour of the public, the party will come to the streets and fight against the Union government,” he said.
