The Karnataka High Court on Thursday rejected the petition filed by the state government seeking directions to cancel the bail granted to Senior Journalist Ravi Belagere by the City Civil and Sessions court in December.
Justice John Michael Cunha heard the petition filed by the government, challenging the order of the sessions court
The court rejected the petition stating that the charge-sheet was already filed in the case and the lower court has considered all aspects of the case while granting bail.
Belagere, who was arrested for allegedly conspiring to murder his colleague Sunil Heggaravalli, was granted bail by the City Civil and Sessions Court on December 22, 2017.
