The scholarship comprises of a cash prize of Rs 5,555 for the educational expenses of the student. Prasad also presented the ISO 22000:2005 certificate to Hangyo Ice creams Pvt Ltd.

Disappointed

In an interactive session that followed, he expressed disappointment over the sacking of the coaching staff only on the basis of one series. “The capability of a person should be assessed under different categories and not merely based on the end result,” he said and pointed out that the coaching staff of Australia were not held responsible or sacked when the team lost the Ashes series.

Sharing his dreams with media persons, the ace cricketer said that he wants to be part of the Indian set up in one way or the other, whether it be in the national team or in the National Cricket Academy. Currently he is focused in preparing Chennai Super Kings for the next IPL season as its coach. He said that there is plenty of talent available in Karnataka, but what the state lacks is good infrastructure outside Bangalore. He hoped that KPL might throw up a few talents the way IPL did at the same time bring the crowd back to the pavilions.

Earlier, he interacted with the members of various school teams in the city.

Managing Director of Hangyo Pradeep G Pai, Director Jagannath Pai, Axis Bank Manager Suresh Pai and others were present on the occasion.
