KPJP winner Shankar joins BJP camp

The Karnataka Praja Janata Paksha candidate R Shankar, who won the Ranebennur constituency, has joined the BJP camp.

Shankar, who took part in the BJP legislative party meeting, officially consented to State BJP president B S Yeddyurappa who has been nominated as the legislative party leader.

Shankar was with BJP leaders when they met Governor Vajubhai Vala. Shankar, who is close to BJP leader K S Eswarappa, has joined the BJP based on this old and cordial relationship, it is learnt.
